Working - Praying - LivingLiving“Our Lord is pleased only
by humility of heart, and by simplicity in words and actions.”
Vincent DePaul As a Gateway Vincentian Volunteer, you will live in community with six to eight young adults in the city of St. Louis. Each volunteer will live in a small apartment in the “St. Lazare” apartment house, which is also the home of a group of Vincentian priests and brothers. Meals and good times are shared in the apartment house’s common living room, dining room, and kitchen. As a GVV, you are asked to live a materially simple life, but one that you will find to be spiritually rich and energizing. Your community of volunteers and the Vincentians that share your home will nourish you in companionship so that you will be charged with love and zeal for your work with the poor.
